Always Learning...

I've been doing classes (face on the right) at Stan Winston School, online courses with Hollywood's master FX artists, and I'm enjoying the learning process...but character dolls on my own are so much more fun!

I really want to improve my knowledge of anatomy and work towards a amore realistic style, but I'll never give up the silly ol' oddfae...

Waiting for Glue to Dry...

So, I've been keeping these tiny shells prepped in a basket on my sculpting table, and when I come to a point on a bigger project that needs glue, I apply the glue and grab one o'these lil guys. They take 30-45 minutes to sculpt, and et viola, the glue on the big project dry and it's good to go!

Their official name is now "Waiting for Glue to Dry" Hermit Fae...

As long as I'm posting Tiny Things, I took a break from Comic-Con sculpting to make a birthday present for my friend Charles; it's a Drinking Buddy, so he never has to drink alone!
I need to find some more of these itty bitty tankards; I'm really pleased how he turned out, so I'd like to make another (or five), plus he made Charles laugh — and if you've met Charles, you know that's a big laugh!

A Li'l Housekeeping

I'm not maintaining a separate website anymore, only the blog and my gallery on deviantArt...

You'll also find artwork posted on my Facebook page. Enjoy!

Faemaker Patterns

It's just come to my attention that the publisher of FaeMaker  no longer has the patterns linked in the back of the book up on the web...

If y'all need these files, drop a line to:

and I'll get them right out to ya!

New Things...

So I haven't been sculpting much lately, but I have been writing tutorials!

This is Christopher, he's the first in a series of classes I'm calling "Express Yourself".

There will be at least six tutorials, each of which will be on a different expression. I'm working on the second class at the mo', and he's gonna be cranky!!

I'll be posting here when the next tutorial is available, and you can find the series, as well as other tutorials, on Etsy. Just click thru that little widget over on the right.

Of course, all tutorials come with lifetime tech support! Don't hesitate to contact me with questions, or to let me know if a link to a supply or book has expired.

'Til next time, be well and be weird. Stay tuned....
